Director Producer Writer
Paul Gold launched his directorial career in New York directing several commercials while serving as a Senior VP / Creative Director / Exec. Producer on such accounts as Merrill Lynch , Bausch & Lomb, Ray-Ban, Fema , Milk, Pfizer, Apple Computers, Pepsi The New York Times, Lockheed Martin and Visa.
His work has earned numerous awards at shows including Cannes, The Art Directors Club, the Clios, the Andy’s, Design & Art Direction Awards, the Director’s Guild of America and the London Film Festival. The “Barn” commercial which he directed for Merrill Lynch was recognized by the London Film Festival.
Since departing from the agency side Paul has directed commercials, shorts and corporate films for such clients as Bristol Myers, Chase Bank, Starwood Hotels, Centrum Vitamins, Liberty Medical and Lockheed Martin. He has traveled and produced extensively around the world.
He and his writing partner have created and produced in association with A List International, “The Human Resource”, a series of inspirational and motivational Documentaries that will be subscribed to by companies such as Pfizer, Merrill Lynch and Ralph Lauren etc.
Paul has just finished six short films for Starwood Hotels. They will be shown on the internet and all of the hotel’s in-house networks around the world.
He has also co-written, produced and directed an awarding winning short comedy called The Big Day. Paul has just finished a short film for The Flywheel project and HBO called “The Hapgood Funeral”. He has also worked on such shows as Dawson’s Creek, A pilot for Strong Medicine and The Dead Zone. He and his writing partner are writing two scripts, one a romantic comedy and the other a psychological thriller for the producing team of Rosenthal and Konner. and Lions Gate and Paramount Pictures. Paul has just finished a young adult webisode pilot called “The Adventures of Tina and her talking turtle Larry”
