James Breckenridge
James Breckenridge

James has worked in the entertainment industry for over 30 years. In 1995, his years of professional training and experience culminated in the founding of The PlayCrafters Group. As its Director, he specializes in helping writers from all over the country develop producible scripts for motion pictures, television and theatre. His work focuses on helping writers target the essential elements of their stories to achieve results that specifically serve their original vision. He has been rated in the Top Ten of Script Consultants from around the country and recommended as the Best of the Best Buys in Creative Screenwriting Magazine’s review of leading script consultants.

In addition to private classes, coachings and consultations, Mr. Breckenridge has been a featured speaker at The Philadelphia Writers’ Conference, The Algonquin Film Festival, The Bucks Fever FilmFest and has presented seminars at the SCREENWRITING EXPO in Los Angeles, California where he was named “Star Speaker.” Mr. Breckenridge has served on the Theatrical Motion Pictures Nominating Committee for the Screen Actors Guild Awards and as a Judge for the Freestyle Repertory Theater in New York City, Juror for The Philadelphia Film Festival’s Feature Film Competition, Juror for the American Independents category for the Philadelphia Film Festival/Cinefest as well as the Bucks Fever FilmFest.

Trained for the professional theatre, Mr. Breckenridge received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. Over the years, he has performed professionally on radio, television, film and on stage. His work has taken him to Europe twice, once touring Germany and Italy, and a second time, appearing at The Edinburgh Festival in Scotland and in London. He currently maintains active memberships with both The Actors’ Equity Association and the SAG-AFTRA Union.

ASHER MENDELSSOHN

Asher Mendelssohn is in 8th grade at Buckingham Friends School and likes to spend most of his free time on stage. Favorite past performances include: Big the Musical at Bristol Riverside Theater (Youth Ensemble), The Sound of Music (Kurt) and A Christmas Story the Musical (Schwartz) both at Music Mountain Theater. Asher is thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in the reading of this screenplay!

JACKIE WASHAM

Jackie Washam is an actor, singer and private voice teacher based in Perkasie. She has performed recently at Bristol Riverside Theater in Big and Montgomery Theater of Souderton in Camelot, and currently is involved in multiple new musicals in various stages of development. When not singing or teaching people to sing, she spends most of the rest of her time listening to her three daughter’s belt at the top of their lungs. She is very excited and grateful for this opportunity to be involved in the 2024 BC Film Fest!

Anna is a New York City-based performer and recent graduate from Northwestern University. Recent professional credits include Fiddler on the Roof (Paper Mill Playhouse) and Matilda The Musical (Gretna Theatre). She is so excited to be collaborating with the wonderful team at the Bucks County Film Festival today!

Bradley S. Kieper is originally from Indiana, now residing in New Jersey. Stage credits include Annie, The Bridges of Madison County, Grey Gardens, The Rat Pack Lounge, Anything Goes, Man of La Mancha, Memphis, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Billy Elliot, Mary Poppins and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. RICK CEKOVSKY

Rick Cekovsky is an actor, dancer, and dad to 3 rambunctious daughters. A transplant to PA from CT by way of NYC, Rick’s credits include a bunch of new plays you’ve probably never heard of, many of which came about as co-founder of The Truf Theater Company, which produces thematically-linked “grown-up” and “children’s” plays in repertory. When not on stage or under siege by his kids, Rick teaches an adult tap class in Dublin and runs his local soccer club, the Pennridge Yellowjackets. Thanks to everyone involved who makes the 2024 BC Film Fest happen!

John Augustine is thrilled to be a part of this year’s Table Read, where he will portray the diverse roles of Dr. Till, The Man, and Another Friend, bringing each character to life with his unique talents and interpretation.

Scott Little

Scott R. Little is a VP of Commercial Lending at Harleysville Bank. In his volunteer work with the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce he has narrated the 2022 FilmFest Table Read, moderated Excellence in Design panel discussions, lead guided historic and architectural tours, and conducted video interviews about the environment. Little enjoys story-telling, whether it’s scary stories to Scouts at campfires or bringing Bible stories to life for kindergartners at church. He is looking forward to narrating the winning entries in the 2024 entry at the Film Fest Screenwriting Table Read.
